My Antonym Diamante Poem

My reflection

I have been learning to write an antonym diamante poem. An antonym means the opposite. My poem is about diving and climbing. I found this easy because I have been rock climbing and swimming before. my next step is to base my diamante antonym poem on something harder.

Spot The Mistake

I have been learning to proofread my work.  Proofreading is important because if you do a mistake and you proofread you can then fix the mistake.  I found this tricky because I did not now how to spell the words and right the right thing.  My next step is to read the sentence out loud.

We read a myth about how Maori believe how the world began.  it was called In The Beginning.  We learnt about some of the Maori Guardians.  I chose to draw Tana because I liked how he looked. and he is clever and strong. My next step is to do hard drawring.

Point of View - Stuart Little

I have been learning relate to the characters in the text to understand their purpose. In this activates I had to think about two characters point of view to help me understand the story more. I found this interesting because I did not now much a bout them.

WALT read analogue clocks and write the time in numbers (digital) and words. I found this tricky because it was hard to do the digital time. My next step is to do harder digital time.

I have been learning to solve  multiplication problems by splitting numbers. I found this easy because I now my time tables. my next steps is to learn my basic facts immediately.

Matariki poems

My reflection
We have been learning to write a haiku and an acrostic poem.  My favourite poem to write was the haiku poem because it was easy and fun. These poems are both very different because the haiku poem has 3 lines a 5\7\5  syllable pattern and 17 syllables altogether.   The hardest poem to write was the Acrostic poem because it was hard to find the words.  My next step is to find rhyming words to make my poem rhyme.

Explanation writing

My Reflection I have learning to write a simple exploration. This is the process I used to write my explanation with my buddy first we did a brain storm using popplet to find information. then we used a frame work to heap us draft our explanation 
I learnt that you just copy information off web sites 
I found this interesting because I didn't now much about birds

We have been learning to identify odd and even numbers and numbers less than 20. We did an activity on Nrich using a venn diagram. I found this easy because I have learnt multiples of 5 and numbers less than 20. My next steps is to use different numbers.

I have been learning write a did you ever poem. I found this easy because I knew which idea  I wanted to do straight away. My next step is to use a different subject.

My Reflection

I have been learning to find and summarise information. We read two non-fiction books. One was about Albatrosses and eagles. then we used a venn diogrem to put our ideas down and compave then.

I found this work easy because I new adout Eagles and Albatross.

the best part of this is finding facts.  My Next step is to work more on summarising.
