I Am Learning To Sequence & Group Similar Ideas
WALT to sequence and group similar ideas. It’s tricky trying to remember how it all happened and getting it in the right order. I feel like I need more practice.

I Am Learning To Use The Word Folder
I like using the word folder. It helps me to spell the words correctly. I have circled the words in my weekend story that I found in the word folder. I am still getting used to what words I can find in the word folder.

I Am Learning To Draw A Cat
I did a pattern with lines on the tail. I did curvy lines and zig zag lines on the body. The face is my favourite part. It was fun. I loved doing it.

I Am Learning About Fractions
I know that half of six is three. I know how to show half of a rectangle and I know it has to be in the middle. I know the quarter symbol has numbers but I got confused with the symbol for a half. I remember that fractions have to have equal pieces but I forgot how to show it. I think fractions are easy.

I Am Learning My Forwards & Backwards Number Sequences
I showed my teacher that I know my numbers before and after between 1 and 20.
I Am Learning To Retell The Story In Sequence
I read a book called Oh, No! I drew a picture from the beginning of the book, then I wrote a sentence. Then I drew a picture from the middle of the book and I wrote a sentence for that picture. After that I drew a picture from the story ending and I wrote my last sentence. I draw the picture first so I know what I’m going to do for the words and helps me to put it in the right order. I find it easy to retell the story!

I Am Learning To Speak To An Audience
On Fridays we have Show & Tell and I can bring something from home to share with our class. When we are speaking our focus is using a loud, clear voice and looking at our audience. I showed our class my toy snake that I named ‘Hard Biter.’ I love sharing news. Next time I will try to look at the audience more.

I Am Learning To Use Capital Letters And Full Stops
Our learning intention:
We are learning to use capital letters and full stops in the right places.
Our success criteria: Our sentences start with a capital letter - We have used a capital letter for the word ‘I’ - We have used a capital letter for names - We have used full stops at the end of our sentences.
My reflection: I used capital letters for the word I. I put my full stops in the right place. My next learning step is to use capital letters at the beginning of all of my sentences.

I Am Learning How To Draw Myself
First, I sketched myself in my art book, making sure I included all of my features. Then Mrs Millar enlarged my drawing to A3 on the photocopier and I outlined it using a black vivid marker. I coloured my portrait in using pastels. It was tricky to choose the right colours for my hair and eyes!
Welcome to Room 11!
This is me in Room 11. On our Hive of Learning wall display I am a bee. We talked about learning and I said: “A good learner reads a lot. Reading feels like a dream to me!”
